Many of my clients, after successfully getting online are then faced with the (heart sinking) realisation that having an online presence is just the beginning. I completely get it.
You'd think that having a beautiful website would let you sit back for a bit and start watching all those leads come pouring in.
The reality is, your online presence is just the starting point of your online marketing journey.
If you want to stay in business, it is no longer optional to start to 'getting your head' around this online stuff. In this interview with the amazing Sue-Ellen Cordon (videographer extraordinaire), we talk about how most people's heads do tend to explode with this tech stuff, but that you need to start anyway.
The trick is to get guidance about what you should be learning next, and re-adjusting your expectations so they are realistic.
Too much of what we are currently seeing online makes it seem that 'you just do this' and the leads will start pouring in.
It's simply not true. There is a lot to learn; not learning is simply not an option if you want to succeed.
